An aptly timed word of good news is always helpful. It is especially so when bad news seems to be prevalent. This is the case for the readers of the Book of Romans through the first three chapters.

Paul now brings a message of good news, that despite beings sinners with a lack of righteousness before God, Jews and Gentiles alike can experience forgiveness by God's grace through faith in Jesus alone.
