After the flood waters reached 20-feet higher than every mountain on earth, Noah and his family floated in the Ark. The floated for a very long time without hearing from God or knowing when the waters would recede.

But God remembered Noah. He remembered the promise to save Noah and his family. God would not forget His promise, even if it seemed as such during their time floating on the ark.
